Fèlix Amat speaks about the triton of the Montseny at the fair mediambiental ECO_VITA of Riells and Viabrea. This year with water as the main protagonist.On 28 and 29 April, the Montseny environmental fair was held in Riells and Viabrea. Under the name "Nature is life ECO_VITA", the fair offered a series of activities for the family audience. The main objective was to involve the populations of this geographical area in the municipality of Riells and Viabrea. This year the fair has focused on water issues, always with the Montseny quality seal.
In addition to local products related to food, medicinal herbs, natural cosmetics, furniture made from local wood, etc., a series of water-related stops were shown, where people were made aware of the need to save this valuable natural resource.
Among all the activities that took place this weekend, Fèlix Amat, the herpetologist specialized in the Montseny newt, made a presentation of this endemic species. Under the title "Rieras del Montseny and climate change: the case of the Montseny newt and the indigenous crayfish", he presented his technical knowledge.
