Gerardo Garcia presents an e-poster of the Life Tritó Montseny project at the II International Conference.

The Lincoln Park Zoo (Chicago), in association with the Reintroduction Specialist Group (RSG) of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has hosted the 2nd International Wildlife Reintroduction Conference (13-16 November). Biologists and reintroduction managers from around the world meet again to share information, triumphs and experiences in the field of wildlife restoration in nature.

Many wildlife populations around the world are suffering dramatic declines or are already being extirpated. Habitat loss and degradation and the consequences of climate change are likely to further reduce the survival of many species and disrupt their ecological distribution and function.

Within the framework of this conference, the best experts in the field focus on the evolution of reintroduction science to discuss "lessons learned", identify scientific processes that improve effectiveness, and build a culture of innovation from theoretical and applied research on reintroduction of wildlife and other conservation translocations. This forum for current professionals and students in wildlife reintroduction allows for a transfer of knowledge and the dissemination of this field of study.

In this context, Gerardo Garcia, collaborator of Life Tritó Montseny from Zoo of Chester, presented a e-poster  to make the project known to the rest of the attendees.
