The project Life Tritó Montseny joins the artistic project "Bodypaint For Conservation"
On Monday 7 October, at the Escola de Natura in Parets del Vallès, two bodypainting sessions focused on the conservation of endangered species.
Francesca Angiolani was the artist of the initiative and the photos in charge of Jaime Culebras, a renowned photographer who dedicates himself to photoconservation and travels around the world photographing amphibians and reptiles with conservation problems.
The day was divided into two stages. In the morning session, body painting was done by Alba Caballol, the companion of the GRENP who offered to be a model. The painting represented the newt of Montseny (Calotriton arnoldi). The skin markings symbolize how drought could affect this critically conserved species.

In the afternoon, the second session of bodypainting was made, this time to Laia Perez, also of the GRENP. In this case, the painting represented a salamander (Salamandra salamandra). The red spots symbolized the affections of Bsal, a fungus that is seriously attacking the species.
This initiative is part of the "Bodypaint For Conservation" project. The aim is to raise public awareness, through the art of bodypainting, of the problems of endangered species.
We value very positively the experience of Francesca Angiolani, who dedicates her professional career in the art of bodypainting. In Jaime Culebras, in addition to collecting images of the entire artistic process also made a photo session in the breeding center of Torreferrussa.
