Exhibition 'You investigate!'
14/01/2019 12:16 h.
The newt of Montseny, one of the protagonists of the new permanent exhibition at the Natural Sciences Museum of Granollers.
On Saturday 12th January, the Museum of Natural Sciences of Granollers inaugurated 'Tú investigas!', the new permanent exhibition. Aimed at a family audience, the exhibition is structured around the four research and research areas of the Natural Science Museum of Granollers: bats, lepidoptera, small mammals and herpetology (amphibians and reptiles).
The exhibition 'You investigate!' has a very scenographic format and is especially attractive for children. It recreates thousands of butterflies in a meadow, bats hidden in a stone cave, a forest full of mice and various micromammals and an interactive river with a diversity of amphibians and reptiles. One of the protagonists of this last area is the newt of Montseny (Calotriton arnoldi), on which the exhibition offers large-format images and a didactic-type explanatory text.

Another highlight of the new exhibition 'Tú investigas!' are the five microdocumentals (made with the support of the Diputació de Barcelona) of the series "Investigadores y naturaleza" (Researchers and nature). Dedicated to butterflies, bats, small mammals and amphibians, visitors to the exhibition will enjoy the witness of the researchers responsible for each of these areas at the Natural Sciences Museum of Granollers. They will listen to their vital experiences, day by day research, motivations, trajectory, etc., completed with the recording of spectacular field images.
The Natural Sciences Museum of Granollers is one of the two documentation centres of the Natural Park of the Montseny. Reservation of the Biosphere.
