LIFE Platform Meeting on Climate Action in Urban Areas

The LIFE Platform meeting was held on 21 and 22 June at the Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona.

The event brought together LIFE beneficiaries, competent authorities and other stakeholders from across Europe to discuss specific actions to promote adaptation and mitigation of climate change in the European and international urban context. The meeting was a great opportunity to learn about the measures that have been carried out under LIFE, the problems and solutions that have been found.

The working group sessions focused on case studies and allowed for the presentation and exchange of good practices in specific sectors, while the plenary sessions dealt with general policies, support and coordination mechanisms.

The meeting was hosted by the Barcelona Provincial Council, which is the coordinator of the LIFE Clinomics project (LIFE15 CCA/SE/000102) and was organised in collaboration with EASME and the European Commission's Directorate General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA).
