From 13 to 25 October Sant Celoni celebrated the V Setmana del Bosc with a full programme of activities aimed at the general public.

In this framework, the weekend 19 and 20 October was celebrated the Fira del Bosc, with demonstrations, exhibitions, product sales, conferences, children's activities, outings of knowledge of the territory and much more.

On Saturday 19 October there were a total of 13 talks in the church of Sant Martí de Pertegàs, all with the forest as the main theme. One of these talks was given by Daniel Guinart, technical coordinator of the Life project. The conference was entitled "The newt of Montseny and the management of the riverbank habitat".

The newt of Montseny was also the protagonist of a competition organised by the Sant Celoni Town Council. It consisted of finding five newts of the Montseny that were hidden in the shop windows of the shops of Sant Celoni during the weekend that lasted the Fira.

And until Saturday 16th November, in the Escorxador Library, it was possible to visit the exhibition dedicated to the newt, endemism of the Montseny forests.

The forest is the common denominator of our history and our territory. The entities that make possible the Setmana del Bosc have the will to value it and bring us closer to this habitat. Because recovering its past, we will make stimulating discoveries; enjoying its present, we will make our senses grow; projecting it to the future, we will find our progress.
