Climate change

27/09/2019 12:57 h.

The conference took place on 26 September at the Escola de Natura in Parets del Vallès

The talk revolved around amphibians and climate change. The aim was to spread the effects that climate change is already having on amphibians. The amphibian group includes frogs, toads, newts and salamanders, among others. They are species that have a mixed life between the aquatic and terrestrial environments, which makes them very vulnerable and sensitive to any alteration of one of these habitats. That is why amphibians are good indicators of the state of ecosystems and especially of the effects of climate change. A climate change seen not as a phenomenon of the future, but as a reality of our days. It's here!

As part of the talk, Albert Montori explained the existence of many projects that are currently working to investigate processes and halt biodiversity losses, such as, for example, the Life Tritó Montseny.
Albert Montori Faura has a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Barcelona and collaborates with the Research Group of the Escola de Natura de Parets del Vallès.

The talk took place on 26 September, at 6 pm, at the Escola de Natura de Parets del Vallès.
