The photographic exhibition of the Montseny newt and its habitat is published

The nature photographer Iñaki Relanzón has been able to capture many spectacular images of the Montseny newt (Calotriton arnoldi) in recent years. Among other aspects, the snapshots show the Montseny newt in the water, its natural environment, the work to recover its habitat, the biosecurity measures, the studies carried out by scientists and workers of the Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve and its reproduction in captivity.

The images have been mounted on 70 cm x 50 cm panels so that they can easily be moved around in various places. Each photograph is accompanied by a brief explanatory text in three languages (Catalan, Spanish and English). The design of the photographic exhibition has been carried out by the Management of Services of Natural Spaces and the printing has been done in the Diputació de Barcelona.

Three copies of the exhibition have been prepared: one of them will be installed at Masía Mariona (Office of the Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve), another at the Pont de Suert Fauna Centre and the third will accompany the travelling exhibition of the Life Tritó Montseny project which is called "My name is Calotriton and I only live in the Montseny!

With the aim of spreading the photographic exhibition among as many people as possible, a digital edition in video format has also been prepared, which can already be seen on the project's Youtube channel.

For more information on the photographic report by Iñaki Relanzón, you can retrieve the news published in November 2019 in the News section of the website.
