The 13th newsletter is published with the news from January, February and March
The last quarterly bulletin, corresponding to the months of January, February and March 2022, of the Life Tritó Montseny project brings together the chronicle of the 4th meeting of hydrologists held at Masia Mariona on 24 March. During the day, several presentations were given and a field trip was organised to see the actions carried out in the area of influence of the Montseny newt.
Another topic covered in the newsletter is the publication, in the scientific journal Land, of an the article on the triton of the Montseny newt (Calotriton arnoldi), which defines the five strategic lines of the Life Montseny Newt project and presents an evaluation of the various actions that have been carried out to improve the habitat of this species considered "critically endangered" by the IUCN.
Environmental education also has a place in the bulletin and, thus, it reports on the plaster newt workshop, held in January at the Vall de Alfatà library in Santa Susanna, in Maresme, a family activity that disseminates the characteristics of this species to children outside the Montseny area.
